Supanova

Supanova 2011

Supanova.

Twice a year, this event has unending possibilities of being one of the greatest events M attended.

And this weekend will be Supanova 2011.

All geared up, his costume 99% complete, his nerves cut and his excitement grows.

A weekend to finish off the fast paced March, starting April.

And to clear his mind of his troubles.

"Miserable"

"You are miserable. So miserable."
The lecturer's words are harsh. It bit him like a spider's poison. M knows he's miserable, and why did the lecturer repetitively use the word to describe his situation right now, and his endeavors with his project.

The scattered puzzle pieces of M's mind needs to be picked up...and reshaped into something better.

By someone who will take up the challenge.

Supanova, a week to go.

And his costume, almost ready.

Expectation.

He had an idea. He was due to receive his new laptop the other day (which arrived just yesterday). A trick of mind comes to play, telling his friends on Facebook that he has a new girlfriend.

A spur of a moment.

Didn't think it was well received, but sadly for them, it's only a playful act from an unfortunate account, with an unfortunate life.

The laptop however, had exceeded his expectations.

Innocent.

He is innocent.

A portrayal of disbelief upsets the balance of friendship around him.

But he, wanting to express.

Nothing was wrong, and even if it did.

He was the victim, caught in the crossfire.

Another one.

Another faint feeling.

He stepped over his gate, and saved them. The four clueless Japanese tourists were in need of help, without any word of English. M offered to listen to their woes, and befriended them. With the art of Japanese language.

To his surprise, they were another bunch of exchange students from Japan.

Again.

And that faint feeling came yet again, upon one of them.
She was interesting, and caught his attention.

The late night Uni-bar, filled with patrons. She needed to get back home, but again, clueless. And what did he do? He dropped her home even though he was dead tired.

Again, he felt lost.

"Why do I go overboard all the time?"
There isn't any gain from this.

They were due leaving next week.
One week to spend with.
And he ponders.
